Our Story
Our love is a story written by fate, a destined connection that was waiting for the right moment to unfold.
Where It All Began
Rafael and Janna’s story began long before they realized it, as kids, when Janna visited her cousin Goldo’s house. Rafael, one of Goldo’s closest friends, was always in the mix, though it took time for their connection to truly grow in the way that mattered.
The Friendship That Grew
Looking back, it’s easy to see how fate kept weaving their worlds together. As they got older, they naturally spent more time together. Whether hanging out at the pool, going to the movies, or joining group outings, they were often side by side. Their friendship grew slowly and with each moment they spent together, the idea of “us” began to take shape. Their connection was not instant or perfect, but it was real, patient, and quietly strong.
The Beginning of Us
It wasn’t until February 2016 that they finally gave themselves a chance. From that point on, friendship became the heart of something deeper. Laughter, shared adventures, and countless little experiences together strengthened a bond that felt both effortless and meant to be.
Building a Life Together
Over the years, they traveled, celebrated milestones, and built countless memories, each adventure strengthening the foundation of their relationship. Their love was not always easy; challenges came, but they faced them together. When Janna went back to school, Rafael supported her in every way he could. Later, when Rafael lost his job and decided to return to school, Janna was there to support him through the same challenges. Each hurdle was difficult, but they leaned on one another as partners and best friends, growing individually and together through every trial.
The Proposal
In February 2025, Rafael proposed in the Dominican Republic during a romantic late-night dinner on the beach. The first song that played as they walked in was “I Will Always Love You” by Whitney Houston. Rafael knelt down, and Janna said yes with tears of joy. They celebrated under the stars that night, surrounded by the excitement and promise of the future they were about to build together.
Forever Stars Here
Today, their love is a reminder of what happens when two hearts realize they’ve been each other’s home all along. They understand each other in ways only lifelong friends can, and they look forward to building a family and a life together. Their journey is one of patience, friendship, and a love that feels right in every way. This is only the beginning, and they cannot wait to continue writing their forever.
